Europe resists US over Iran nuclear resolution
European officials on Wednesday were resisting US pressure to declare Iran in non-compliance with its nuclear obligations at Thursday's crucial meeting of the UN nuclear watchdog's governing board.

The US has warned that a draft resolution proposed by the UK, France and Germany must be strengthened if it is to win US support. Washington has also indicated it would prefer no decision to emerge from the meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency unless it found Iran in "non-compliance" with its nuclear obligations.

A European diplomat close to the negotiations said the draft resolution would "remain silent as to whether Iran is fully in compliance , because the IAEA has not yet pronounced on this. We see this as the first step towards bringing Iran into full compliance."

Britain, which has diplomatic relations with Iran, has joined France and Germany in persuading Iran to abide by last September's IAEA resolution, which called on Tehran to provide full co-operation with the agency, suspend uranium enrichment and sign an agreement that would allow for intrusive inspection of nuclear sites.

1. Must be nice to dictate terms.
Washington has also indicated it would prefer no decision to emerge from the meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency unless it found Iran in "non-compliance" with its nuclear obligations.

In other words, the IAEA is to either decide what TraitorCo wants decided, or there is no decision.

"No" is not something these fascists are used to hearing.
