2. Giving Bush what he wants always works in favor of Democrats.
I just cant seem to come up with one single example though.

Anyone else out there have one single, solitary example of DEMs giving Bush what he wants actually helping Democrats, strategy wise or other wise?

But that would require growing a pair.

5. Speechless.
Why?

* Afraid to be labelled "obstructionist?"
* Reluctant to burn political capital (i.e., keep the powder dry)?
* Naivete: still adhering to the antiquated gentleman's agreement, that the Senate should confirm anyone the President nominates?
* Self-preservation: the NSA has a nice long dossier on every Democrat in Congress?

Why, why, why? Why do we always kowtow like this? Why do we always make nice?

8. why do they even pretend?
Edited on Mon May-22-06 04:10 PM by xxqqqzme
They are NOT a party of opposition; they are the party capitulation & acquiescence. I wish they would just come clean and say they are going 2 be complacent in the destruction of the country; that they have all been promised they will be unharmed as long as they don't rock the boat tooooo hard. I despair that ANY of the neo-crimes against the people or against humanity will EVER be addressed; no wrongs, righted; raisin brain allowed 2 act as pretzeldent as long as he wants!

I fear the time is upon us 2 live on other shores.

10. Correct me if I'm wrong. He was at the hearings?
He did hear the same BS I heard? It seems like he did.

"Clearly the privacy of American citizens is a concern, constantly. And it's a concern in this program, it's a concern in everything we've done." - Hayden, in response to questions from Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich.

_ "Disclosing parts of the program that might be the most palatable and acceptable to the American people, while maintaining secrecy until they're leaked about parts that may be troubling to the public, is not acceptable." - Levin

12. Democrats can easily lose this Fall's election on their own.
Diebold won't even be needed to help the GOP. Why can't the Democrats stand up for the truth? The American people want the TRUTH!!!

13. Worst opposition party in our lifetimes.
Let's face it, these people are almost all close associates and friends. When push comes to shove, of course they are going to side with them.

After all, who would these Dems invite to dinner or to their son's graduation if they didn't?

The rest of us are just strangers looking for a handout to them.

23. I guess Levin doesn't care about the $2 billion Hayden wasted in NSA
on the defunct Trailblazer project. Hayden is incompetent and he is ignorant of the Constitution.
