Howard blasts Iranian leader's 'blind bigotry'

PRIME Minister John Howard has launched a blistering attack on Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who he has accused of "blind bigotry" against countries including Israel.

In an interview with CNN on Sunday, Howard said the Iranian leader's remarks on Israel "were provocative, unacceptable and the sort of remarks that indicate somebody who operates on the basis of blind bigotry towards other countries".
