(Bill) Nelson More than Doubling Up (Katherine) Harris
U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson leads challenger and former Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris by a more than 2-to-1 margin in a new poll released this morning.

The incumbent Democrat leads Harris, now a Republican congresswoman from Longboat Key, 58 percent to 25 percent in the Quinnipiac University poll. The survey of 1,086 registered Florida voters has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Voters also have an overwhelmingly negative opinion of Harris, whose has been dogged by controversy over her ties to a defense contractor who bribed a California congressman, according to the poll.

Thirty-nine percent or respondents said they had an "unfavorable" opinion of Harris, compared to just 20 percent who said "favorable." By contrast, 37 percent rated Nelson favorable compared with 10 percent unfavorable.

5. For some reason whenever I see that crazy woman
I feel bad for her. I'm not cold hearted, but it is not like me to feel bad for any of these dirty rethugs. However, for some reason I feel sorry for her. I find myself wondering why I have a soft spot of sorts for her. It bothers me

6. You feel sorry for her because you have a heart.
However, Kat and the rest of the thugs have no hearts. Remember that. They would cut you just to watch you bleed…..and your mama too.

7. "More puppies!" screamed Cruella
"I need more puppies to feed my campaign!"

C'mon Kath, spend more, more, more! With a Democrat in office, you won't have to worry about society's safety net being there for you when you've spent yourself into penury. And won't you feel bad if you don't do absolutely everything you can? Leave no dollar unspent!

If you want to know how well she'll do at the polls, just look at the Repub to Dem percentages. Repubs who make it to the polls aren't going to "not" vote for her. She isn't McCain.

While article after article assures us that her support is only lukewarm, I have yet to see any evidence among Repubs of hostility toward her, only concern that she can't win. But in a 50-50 state, she only loses if the Repubs don't go to the polls.

It is plain, however, that the press is cool toward her, and possibly the GOP leadership as well. I can well understand why the press might not like her. Its a little harder to understand why GOP leadership would be stand-offish. I guess they were hoping for the wonder-candidate, the one who takes it by a landslide. But look at the numbers: KH, 37%; her closest GOP rival, 13%. Thats the number that tells the story.

Actually, most of them don't seem to care, except they like pix of her in tight tops.
