TULSA(US): A US federal judge awarded a group of 52 Indian men more than $1.2 million after finding an oil equipment manufacturer guilty of fraud, false imprisonment and civil rights violations.

Federal judge Clair V Egan's ruling described an environment of threats and intimidation, daily harassment and open hostility from management at the John Pickle Co.

"Defendants recruited Indian workers in India, brought them to the United States, housed and fed them separately from the non-Indian JPC employees, identified them as Indians and made numerous discriminatory comments about their ancestry, ethnic background, culture, and country," Egan wrote...

1. Outsourcing won't be such a bargain if they don't get to
treat Indian workers badly.

...They told of being forced to work long hours for only a few dollars per day...

Maybe bringing workers here doesn't technically qualify as outsourcing, but the goal is to get employees who are cheaper than American workers.

2. Simply Amazing!
Another reason I'm glad to be NOT in Texas, of Texas, or in any way co-operating with Texas (except for the virtual slavery part--but I'll break those chains yet!)

7. Surprising this one made it to the courts. There are so many just like
this one all over the US and the world. Human traffiking is the new growth industry.
