1. I am just in awe
that Americans could be so apathetic to the world around them. Two years after Sept. 11th and refuse to find out what caused Sept. 11th.

4. Why, surely you can't ,mean...
...that it was religious fanaticism that caused 9-11? Surely you can't be saying that it's necessary to have crazed, hate-filled zealots who believe in an afterlife in order to carry out suicide attacks, can you? Why, that'd rock the very foundation of religion; that'd make religion something other than an unqualified "good force".

No no no, one simply can't say such things. Like an alcoholic, when things go wrong, the answer is more alcohol. Faith causes it, and it drives more people to faith. La la la la la.

2. Lies!
Recent Federal Court actions particularly in Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore's case, have curtailed religious freedom in America

WTF? This is the intro to the story, stated as fact, not someone's opinion. Where in hell do you write to these bozos? I'm giving this "story" a 1. Everyone, please vote it down.

3. Aaarrrgggh!
You can't rate the story, and there's nowhere to e-mail them. I've sent the link to Americans United. Someone needs to call them on this blatant lie.

5. Agreed. Time to vote.

No, crap, upon further review there is no where to vote as you said. I think because it is a press release though there was no editorial oversight of the content. It would however be interesting to see if an organization holding contrary views issued a press release whether they would run it.

6. It's a press release, not a news item
It says "Press Release" right above the story. So, while morons will think it's 'fair and balanced' to have a story lead like that, we just have to shake our heads at it's gross bias (and I was fooled into thinking it was legit at first too).

Why does Yahoo give them the server space?

8. I don't know that the legislature has the power to do this
...without amending the constitution, that is.

9. The only religious freedom they want is their own cooky brand of
freedom. How many fundies do you think would support faith based funding when they find out they have to share the money with Muslims and catholics and Jews? You can't discriminate when passing out the money! Does anybody think that 9-11 was a "faith based initiative" of the sorts? It was funded and carried out under the name of religion, no matter how f'd up it was. It just goes to show that ALL religions have their own brand of fundamentalist nuts.

10. As a Christian these nuts are the probelm as i always said the only reason
they arent technically as bad as the islamic terrorists is there is nothing else to mollify the islamic terrorists, so violence is the only option. As long as the judges remain liberal overall we are partially secure, but was does that mean, i always take slack for it but im favor of Bigegr Government and Limited Democracy, that asshole ray moore is going to get elected due to too much democracy (not banning censured judges from running) the recall way way too much democracy. Coming from a avowed Christian, religion has to be kept out of politics, none of us should even run, its a huge dissonance. Take it how you will- until fundamentalism is permantely wiped out by whatever means there is no hope for progress towards utopia.

11. Sounds like Christian Reconstructionism
another whacko Christian sect

http://www.religioustolerance.org/reconstr.htm

Most people do not know that the current rage to home school children so that they will not be exposed to more liberal interpretations, the theory of evolution, and the teaching about other religions all over the world was given great impetus, if not the foundation, by the late RJ Rushdooney, http://atheism.about.com/library/quotes/bl_q_RRushdoony.htm
founder of the Christian Reconstructionist movement in America and founder of the Chalcedon Institute.
