Looks like nothing so far.

SF City Hall evacuated after suspicious packages are found

Chronicle Staff Report

Tuesday, May 30, 2006

(05-30) 09:36 PDT SAN FRANCISCO - Two of three suspicious packages that led to San Francisco City Hall being evacuated this morning have been determined to be harmless, police said.

One of those two packages turned out to be a box with papers in it. The third item was being X-rayed by the bomb squad at Grove and Polk streets around 9:30 a.m.. The first package was found around 7:30 a.m.

Meanwhile, the streets surrounding City Hall remain closed to traffic, which is being rerouted, causing backups in the area.

Civic Center Plaza has been taped off to pedestrians, and hundreds of people crowded the sidewalks.

1. Nothing to see here. Another non-event trumped up on CNN.

2. The only thing that would bother me is if we start to see a trend...
...like the evacuations last week of congress-critters in D.C.

I wouldn't like the idea of the Dept. of Homeland Security methodically finding serial opportunities to empty out government buildings and sweep them for who-knows-what.

So far, not a trend...hoping it will not become one.

8. You've got that right. And the same scardy-cats make fun of France in WWII
...because they were utterly overrun by German forces, and call them "Surrender Monkeys."

You know, Fweepies...y'all surrendered and didn't even see one occupation boot on the ground in the US.

Fweepies are the REAL "Surrender Monkeys."

Has Bill O'Reilly been in San Francisco lately? Ah never mind. Glad it was nothing and nobody got hurt.
