Time's Michael Ware Moves To CNN

"Michael Ware, the Time magazine Baghdad bureau chief who gained renown for in-depth coverage of the insurgency in Iraq, will join CNN as a correspondent based in Baghdad," the network announced today.

Ware has been a frequent guest on CNN since 2001. Now, as a full-time international correspondent, he will report for all the CNN networks, and contribute regularly to Anderson Cooper 360.

Tony Maddox, senior vice president of international newsgathering operation, says "his exclusive stories and unique insights into the workings of the insurgency will increase the scope and depth of our reporting."

1. This will put him in more danger because TV people always
attract more attention than print journalists. That guy is something else and seemingly fearless. CNN coverage may improve with this.

He's one gutsy bastard! I just hope he doesn't get watered down by CNN.

6. he was also
a staple on Air America's Morning Sedition. He is a very good reporter and doesn't mince words about this administration's competence and criminality.

7. Did He Really Move Anywhere?
Basically all he's doing is trading the tape-recorder for a camera, since CNN and Time are part of the same AO-Hell empire.
