Health: Mysterious Skin Disease (Morgellon’s goes MSM)
Edited on Tue May-30-06 11:36 PM by I_Make_Mistakes
CBS 3 ) PHILADELPHIA Medical Reporter Stephanie Stahl reports the C.D.C. has established a special task force to investigate a mysterious skin disease that’s on the rise in some places. Patients describe a creepy, crawly feeling.
...
“The symptoms are unquestionably real and the symptoms are in the skin you know they're not in the mind,” said Dr. Caroline Koblenzer of University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Koblenzer, a Philadelphia psycho-dermatologist says not much is known about the disease, but the skin lesions might be related to stress or anxiety.

..
The C.D.C. isn't ready to officially it a disease, but they have a task force investigating trying to figure out what it is.

Above typo their'e not mine.

For some reason, this page is blank at the top maybe my browser settings. If you scroll down the transcript appears. There is also a video to the right under top stories (it's the 3rd or 4th button)

http://cbs3.com/topstories/local_story_150210350.html

edit : Just figured out how to link directly to the video here it is

http://cbs3.com/video/?id=26831@kyw.dayport.com

The video is not the full transcript, which is worth the read.

Now you've done gone and told!!! We were trying to keep this on the QT so that we could get the Bilderberg group and the Bohemian Grovers to finance the national test run.

Damn you, BMUS! If it weren't for you meddling kids....

3. I read about this in the Health forum. There was a lot of
discussion about it, but I hadn't heard of it being MSM'd, with a Univ. of Penn doctor and the CDC investigating it. To be honest the thread got quite long and I am not totally sure that I read every entry.

8. I had a spinal fracture that was pressing on a disc that pinching a
nerve in my arm, which burned all the time. I had a eng I think it was what it was called that showed severe neuropathy in my arm. My psychologist said that Elavil (sp?) which is known as an antidepressant for some reason tended to help with nerve pain. I got a prescription and it did.

I think the antiphyschotic would treat the symptom of feeling like something is crawling all over you. Remember, this doctor said it is in the skin, not the brain.
