KABUL, Afghanistan -
Afghanistan's parliament has approved a motion calling for the government to prosecute the U.S. soldiers responsible for a deadly road crash that

The assembly passed the nonbinding motion Tuesday, after debating Monday's crash in which a U.S. truck plowed into a line of cars, killing up to five Afghans and sparking citywide, anti-foreigner riots, said Saleh Mohammed Saljuqi, an assistant to the parliamentary speaker.

"Those responsible for the accident on Monday should be handed over to Afghan legal authorities," Saljuqi cited the motion as saying.

A U.S. military spokeswoman, Lt. Tamara D. Lawrence, said she had not seen the motion and declined to comment......

2. No win situation here
don't turn over troops, Afghan people pissed; turn over troops, military pissed. Does any one here know what the rights of our troops are serving in foreign lands? Guessing this administration will choose to ignore foreign sovereignty issues when it can. Wondering how Iraq stuff will pan out.

Afghanistan's parliament has passed a resolution demanding the arrest of U.S. soldiers involved in a deadly car crash.

Afghan legislators passed the non-binding resolution late Tuesday, a day after the violent riots swept through the capital.

The parliament's deputy speaker, Mohamamd Arif Noorzai says the people responsible for the deadly accident that sparked the violence should be handed over to local authorities and prosecuted.

The riots erupted Monday moments after a U.S. military truck reportedly lost control and slammed into several cars, killing at least one person.

5. Oh it'll be nice to see how THAT one turns out. I'm reminded of...
...the scene when British SAS were arrested after a gunfight in a car loaded with explosives, wigs, etc.

11. Yes, they're very good at doing that nowdays.
A year, two years, next week, whatever from now- you won't be able to find any reference to it, whatsoever.

9. Well, we all know that Afghanistan is NOT a sovereign nation so
we don't have to listen to anything they say or demand. I am sure this will be the Bushbot response. Proving once again that our soldier who lost their lives in Afghanistan fought and died for nothing of benefit to anyone but the Bushbots in charge of US government.
