BAGHDAD (AP) — The Iraqi government declared a state of emergency and imposed a curfew Friday after insurgents set up roadblocks in central Baghdad and opened fire on U.S. and Iraqi troops outside the heavily fortified Green Zone.

Don't worry, people! These "insurgents" are just a few dead-enders; the very
insurgents who hid the weapons of mass destruction that were in Baghdad--in the
north, south, east and west.

No...no...wait a minute. This just in! These are the insurgents who were supposed
to greet us with flowers! Any minute now, our soldiers will be dancing in a bed of
fragrant azaleas and lilacs. Smell the mimosa...take it in people!

Uh oh. That's wrong too. No flowers. However, it has just been reported that the
insurgency is in its last throes. OH, what a relief that news is! Strike up the band!
