Iraqi oil security chief killed in Mosul: police

MOSUL, Iraq (AFP) - An Iraqi police colonel in charge of security for oil installations in the northern city of Mosul was shot dead Saturday evening by unknown gunmen, police here said.

Abdel Salam Qanbar "was leaving the mosque at 8 pm (1700 GMT) when unknown assailants in a car opened fire in his direction," police general Khaled Fathi Jassim told AFP, without giving further details.

3. Death is the penalty for all collaborators of occupying powers
If America was under a foreign jackboot, we would be cheering every suicide bomber and every sniper that took the lives of our enemies and their supporters.

Rent the film "Red Dawn" and you will see what we are saying here.

4. Mmmm, bang up job in the north
The bad part is that I think they were being honest about the north being secure through the summer and even early autumn - it WAS secure, now it's NOT; it WAS content, now it's NOT.

Situation out of control, slipping away, worsening, worsening, worsening.

Oh, by the way, I hear they're taking resumes for Head of Security, Northern Iraq Oil Pipelines. Any takers?
