Pop star Michael Jackson has broken his silence on the latest child sex allegations against him, saying they were "a big lie".Jackson said he would prove himself innocent in court, and put "this horrible time" behind him.The Thriller star released a statement on a website set up to refute the allegations, which are believed to come from a 12 or 13-year-old cancer sufferer.

Jackson said: "To my fans, friends and family: As you know, the charges recently directed at me are terribly serious. They are, however, predicated on a big lie. This will be shown in court, and we will be able to put this horrible time behind us."

Jackson, who was arrested last Thursday after an warrant was issued, said there was only so much he could say because of the legal proceedings "There will be times when I cannot comment at all. No doubt, this will be frustrating for all of us," He said he would not be providing a "running commentary" on the case."We intend to try our case in the courtroom, not in the public or the media," he said.

He added: "You are right to be sceptical of some of the individuals who are being identified in the mass media as my friends, spokespeople, and attorneys. With few exceptions, most of them are simply filling a desperate void in our culture that equates visibility with insight."

2. the parents certainly didn't care
If the parents didn't care enough to keep their child away from him, why should the rest of us?

3. M Jackson Versus Peter Pan
Peter Pan, unlike Michael Jackson, was able to pull off his Neverland schtick by remaining youthful and because NeverNeverland was sited well beyond the jurisdiction of US state and legal authorities and out of the purview of greedy attorneys.

Michael Jackson would have done better to realize that he had to grow up.

Someone else could have fun creating a computer role playing game involving the misadventures of a "stick boy" social worker trying to retrieve a "Lost Boy" who doesn't want to go home in the face of the worst that NeverNeverland could throw at him.

5. Good Luck Michael Jackson
It is obvious that people do not understand your love for children. A love not to harm children as you are charged, but to love children to foster true happiness and peace. May God guide you through your periods of hardship and may you again provide happiness, no matter how brief in the lives of children.

4. I'm sick of the coverage
I'm not so sure he's guilty, either. It's easy to make accusations against someone as nuts as he is. They're allegations that are awfully hard to take back- even if he's proven to be innocent, people will always have that in the back of their heads about him. I hate media circuses surrounding these kind of cases. They compromise justice, and make it impossible for a jury to do it's job.

6. I'm also not sure he is guilty......
In a Dutch newspaper Saturday was a great cartoon showing 4 Michael Jackson's standing in a line, with one holding a sign with a $6 million dollar check on it.
The lawyer was asking a little child, 'Which Michael did it?'.....

7. we are always so quick to see the worst...
I have no idea ....but the fact large sums of money/fame are involved makes me question the accuser's motives....

Jackson is definitely a stranger in a strange land but .........I have no facts to go on and I know the propensity for media circuses.....so..

Peace
