Member of the Regional Baath Party Command Rasheed Ta'an Kadhim, one of those on Iraq's 41 most wanted list announced by National Security Advisor Muwaffaq Al-Rubeiei, was arrested five days ago, Iraqi security and government sources confirmed to KUNA.
The sources said the man, also on the US Army's list of 55 wanted, was arrested along with 70 others suspected of involvement in terrorist acts in the vicinity of Al-Miqdadiya where wide-range military operations have been going on for five days now.
The man was arrested by Iraqi forces with backup by Multi-National Forces. Iraqi Army Brigadier Abdelrahman Al-Janabi said the 71 arrested included several individuals wanted by the authorities. Kadhim is listed sixth on the Iraqi 41-wanted list.
The Central Iraqi Criminal Court had on January 9th, 2005, issued a warrant for the arrest of Kadhim and set a million-dollar bounty for anyone who provides any information that leads to his arrest.
