Sensing Emergency, Korean Firms in Baghdad Pull Out
http://english.chosun.com/w21data/html/news/200311/200311240015.html

Korean firms based in Iraq are speeding up their withdrawal from the war-torn country, after terror attacks, including attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq, have become both more frequent and more deadly.

...

He also said that diplomats and businesses from other countries, along with many rich Iraqi citizens, have been reportedly fleeing the city, jamming the roads to the border.

4. The Third Iraq War-3 Wars that Never Needed To Happen
Edited on Mon Nov-24-03 10:29 AM by terrisel
The 1st Iraq War-GH Bush could have prevented it by telling Saddam Hussein that any entry into Kuwait would be met with force.
He didn't and the US won a deliberately limited victory.

The 2nd Iraq War-GW Bush could have prevented by letting the UN carry out its mission. He didn't and the US appeared to win a complete victory which soon was revealed to be a defeat.

The 3rd Iraq War is beginning now.

6. Funny, Cuz We Are Pulling Out of S.Korea
First of all, anyone with business sense not based on a cult like belief that Biff Co will make you a billionaire, knows that Iraq today is a bad investment idea. Though you can charge an extraordinary amount for services, the security risks are unpredictable and deadly. You can be sure that the companies sticking it out have a scewed sense of value.

Secondly, is anyone one else paying attention to the US/South Korea relationship over the past 3 years? Rumsfeld has begun to move towards S.Korean independance form US troops. US lodging was moved 150 miles south from the border a few months ago. There have been administration statements about phasing out occupation/ support mission. We moved several bombers within range of the peninsula. All this while we simultaneously point fingers at N.Korea and rattle our sabres and the press "examines" the atrocities within the N.Korean borders.

How many times has Biff the elder spoken in S.Korea recently concerning investment opportunities and investment trends?
Is S.Korea poised to be the next Kuwait?
Have these S.Korean businesses been advised that now is the time to re-invest in S.Korean security?

I hope that is not the sound of nukes falling form the sky....

Peace,
Teresa
