IRAQ'S Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani said today he would replace officials at the state run Oil Products Distribution Company as part of his battle against corruption.
"Corruption has lessened. I am not saying it has ended. One of the places where we found corruption was the Oil Products Distribution Company. Today I will sign a decree to replace the management,"" he told reporters.
"And after wide consultation, we have picked (replacements) who are known for their integrity."
Mr Shahristani said he has moved 10 corruption cases to the Integrity Commission in charge of investigating corruption in Iraq.
"Those who will be proven not guilty will return to their work normally," he said.
