FORT WAINWRIGHT, Alaska (AP) - A Fort Wainwright soldier was killed Wednesday in Iraq, a military spokesman said.

The soldier was killed by small-arms fire while conducting a mounted patrol in Mosul, said U.S. Army Alaska Public Affairs spokesman Maj. Kirk Gohlke.

The identity of the soldier, who was assigned to the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team based at Fort Wainwright, has not been released. However, the next of kin have been notified, Gohlke said.

Where snipers pick you off the top of your Stryker vehicle...And no volume of talk of "progress" can bring you back again.

2. Unfortunately, not the last one to die for lies.
There will be many more, due to the corrupt and criminal Bush corporate cabal.

3. Never changes From Vietnam to Bagdad
With all our technology still the most hard thing to get
around is a well trained troop, with a loaded rifle, or
un-trained in this case.. there is no cure for a sniper,
unless it is a better trained sniper.

5. and nobody gives a damn!
During the first months after Peal Harbor, the American
soldiers isolated in the Philippines composed the following:

We're the Battling Bastards of Bataan
No mama, no papa, no Uncle Sam
And nobody seems to give a damn!

The soldiers in Bataan were eventually captured by the
Japanese. Those few who survived the Death March and prison
camps were released when the US retook the island, almost 3
years later.

Who from the administration gives a damn about our servicemen
today? How many funerals has the President attended?
