Bush makes light of Putin's jibe at Cheney
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060713/pl_nm/bush_russia_freedoms_dc_1

<snip>

Putin, who will host Bush and other leaders at the Group of Eight summit in St. Petersburg this weekend, brought up Cheney's accidental shooting of a friend while hunting as he sought to rebut Cheney's accusations Russia was backsliding democracy.

The U.S. vice president's criticisms were "kind of a failed hunting shot," Putin told NBC television.

Bush responded, "It was pretty clever, actually, quite humorous."

Bush said that in conversations with Putin ahead of the G8 summit, he would carry the message that Moscow needs be tolerant of a free press and political dissent.

"Our job is to continue to remind Russia that if she wants to have good relations that she ought to share common values with us," Bush said at a joint news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

2. Everything's a whimsical joke to Dubya, except he doesn't have the

agility upstairs to pull it off.

He pretends he's a real cowboy in a Hollywood set saloonbut he's flippant when he needs to be folksy. He leaves the impression that he doesn't take anything seriously, and the more serious the subject the less seriously he takes it, the more subject to ridicule and flippancy it becomes.

If he were your 9-year old little brother, you could say, well, he'll grow up in a few years and all will be well.

But Dubya isn't growing up. He's the way he is forever, and the world is worse off because of it.

I'm sure Dick Cheney's Buddhist reserve permits him to ignore Dubya's flippant remarks. Not.

5. Russia's a "she?"
I guess everything is a "she" to Bush, given his opinion of what women are used for.

Every family has at least one uncle that no one lets the kids around without adult supervision.

Somebody actually looked up a fact for Junior: Russians traditionally refer to their country in the feminine.

9. Who the hell is bush to tell Russia what values to have?
Edited on Thu Jul-13-06 11:08 AM by Skip Intro
to share "OUR" values?

Can you imagine someone coming over for dinner only to call you a day or two before to tell you that you need share/adopt his/her "values" if you want to have "good relations" with him/her?

I do not, and really never have, understood the arrogance of our country sometimes when it demands other nations conform to our beliefs and way of life. Who the hell are we to make such demands?

11. They "tried" to share *his* (sick) values before when they invaded
Afghanistan back in '79... and see where it got 'her'? Been there, done that!

As far as that *cow-BOY* chimpanzee is concerned, it seems like "it's the other way around..." (again).

War is peace
Freedom is torture
(and on, and on...)

12. Aaaaaah a ha ha ha ha
George Bush knows the truth!!! Dick Cheney is now officially a clown. I'm not kidding, that's how serious this hunting accident was for Cheney.

It turned him into a Fool on the world stage. Now, the rest of us might not see it as such a big deal. But for CHENEY....World-class heavy weight Predator Deluxe....Don't mess around with the Big Man...

OOoooohhh Yeah. Remember the photos of Cheney after the accident? He was droopy, sad looking. He started falling asleep during important meetings at the WH.

Now you know why.

14. Unbelievable arrogance.
No sense of diplomacy, or even courtesy.

Rude, ignorant, arrogant, vicious, and thoughtless.

And those are just the personality traits- not the (lack of) qualifications.
