IRS Operated Without Refund Fraud Screening Program This Year
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Internal Revenue Service cost the government $200 million to $300 million this year because a computer program that screens tax returns for fraudulent refunds wasn't operating.

As in Tax Laws, Trade Laws, Immigration Laws, Environmental Laws, etc.

Cut the funds going to the Law enforcement agencies, and what happens? Fewer Laws are enforced, but fewer fines and Taxes are collected too.
