Data on Bush-Abramoff links sought
The Washington Post

WASHINGTON – The House Government Reform Committee has subpoenaed the former law firm of convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff for records of any contacts he or members of his lobbying team had with the Bush White House.

Chairman Tom Davis, R-Va., authorized a subpoena weeks ago to Greenberg Traurig, according to several of the law firm's former clients who have been notified that it is turning over billing records, e-mails, phone logs and other material that reflects efforts to lobby the White House.

Representatives of four of Mr. Abramoff's former tribal clients said they have been notified by Greenberg Traurig that the firm is turning over records. In some cases, there were scores of phone calls or other contacts with the White House.

The subpoena – read to The Washington Post by a former client who received a copy from Greenberg Traurig – seeks all firm billing records "referring or relating to matters involving Jack Abramoff or any person working with Jack Abramoff," as well as all records reflecting any contacts those lobbyists had with the White House.

House committee probes Abrahmoff-Bush ties

WASHINGTON, July 15 (UPI) -- A U.S. House committee wants to know what contacts convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff and his team had with the Bush White House, it was reported Saturday.

The House Government Reform Committee subpoenaed Abrahoff's former law firm for billing records, the Washington Post reported.

The subpoena seeks all the billing records from the Greenberg Traurig law firm "referring or relating to matters involving Jack Abramoff or any person working with Jack Abramoff," as well as all records reflecting any contacts those lobbyists had with the Bush White House, the Post said.

The subpoena seeks records dating back to Jan. 1, 1998. Abramoff began working for Greenberg Traurig in 2001.

Committee Chairman Thomas Davis, R-Va., authorized the subpoena weeks ago, citing several of the law firm's former clients who said they were notified the firm was turning over billing records, e-mails, phone logs and other material that reflected efforts to lobby the Bush administration.

5. I hope they can get their hands on significant evidence to prove that
the Warped Resident is in it up to his beady little eyeballs.
I want to see these fuckers pay for their crimes.

6. And they'll make an excruciatingly thorough study of those records...
the ones between 1998 & January 20, 2001, that is. Nothing to see in the records after that date. No point in even looking.

8. says--'authorized the subpoena weeks ago,"--but no follow-up on what
has happened sine 'weeks ago'---this is rather a reminder article--not very informative at all.
