Rocket reported killing two in Nazareth, birthplace of Jesus. <-- MSNBC original text. Was changed to "hometown"

-SNIP-
Meanwhile, Hezbollah showered northern Israel with rockets on Wednesday, killing two people in the mainly Arab town of Nazareth, Israeli authorities said.

The two were killed by a direct hit from a Katyusha rocket, the army said. Nazareth, in northern Israel, is revered as the hometown of Jesus and is filled with churches. It is about 19 miles from the Lebanese border.

1. Well, we'd best be changing the words of "O Little Town
of Bethelehem" before Christmas.

3. why not mention it
They mentioned two were killed. THey mentioned where. They mentioned that the where was Jesus' hometown.

Last time I checked, around 80 percent of the US population identified themselves as Christians of one stripe or another. So its information that might be of interest to people.

Put another way, if a bomb went off in Hope, Arkansas, would it be inappropriate for the headline to mention it was Bill Clinton's hometown?

5. Oreo, Jesus was born in Bethlehem (a Palestinian town) not Nazareth
Has Jesus been born today, he would be in a bomb shelter right now.

14. I just heard the dumb woman anchor in CNN say the same thing!!!!
Nazareth as Jesus birthplace! Perhaps the Bethlehem story was a myth after all, and the MSM is now disclosing that.

15. Mary and Joseph were from Nazereth
The Church of Annunciation is in Nazereth (where an angel is said to have told Mary that she would deliver Jesus). Mary and Joseph travelled to Bethlehem to be counted in a census; that is where Jesus was born.

6. I'm sure Jesus is thrilled with everything that's going on...
Christians everywhere no doubt are also rejoicing that all this carnage and destruction is occurring...all in the name of freedom, of course.

Note to Christian readers: If what you see happening in the world today doesn't trouble you, you aren't a Christian. If you support George Bush and his war administration, you aren't a Christian. Questions? Go back and read your Bible. It does not make exceptions.

17. Interesting twist....
...and by interesting, I mean horrific, of course.

Hezbollah fires a missle into a Christian holy city, and kills Arab children (the two killed as reported by MSNBC on their TV station were two Arab brothers, ages 7 and 3).

I can just picture the guy who fired that missle:
