From the BF GOODRICH NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE
COMPANY PROPOSES TO RIP $7 PER HOUR FROM PRODUCTION WAGES
Since our last update we have been meeting with company negotiators in both full committee and small committee groups, trying to pry full details from the company on what they have put on the negotiating table. Through small committee discussions with the company on wages, the company has clarified that they want an average reduction of $7 per hour from production employees. Their proposal would be especially severe to people on incentive and to people on support jobs such as tractor drivers and tire room truckers. The small committee meeting on benefits is still trying to get the company to fully explain their intentions regarding how they plan to gouge our insurance and pensions. It is crystal clear that they want to greatly reduce the cost of our benefits by shifting the burden to us.
On July 20th and 21st there will be solidarity stickers passed out at the 3 plants. These stickers will say "United for Security." Make sure you get one, and wear it as a badge to tell the company NO!!
IF THE COMPANY DOESN'T CURTAIL THEIR GREED AND GET DOWN TO SERIOUS, PURPOSEFUL NEGOTIATING SOON, WE WILL BE STRIKING THEM COME 12:01 EASTERN TIME ON JULY 23.
