Israeli strike hits truck carrying aid from UAE

An Israeli air strike on Wednesday hit a truck carrying medical and food supplies donated to Lebanon by the United Arab Emirates, killing its Syrian driver and wounding two others, security sources said.

The truck was destroyed just a few kilometers from Lebanon's eastern border with Syria in the town of Anjar. Israel has been hitting targets in southern Lebanon, Beirut and other parts of the country in a war with Hizbollah.

An Israeli air strike on July 18 hit another truck carrying aid donated by the UAE. The truck, whose driver was killed, was traveling from Damascus.

9. Israel said yesterday on CNN they were trying to track relief vehicles

and U.N. movement. I guess they are lacking in the ability to do so?

It seems if anyone really cared about dead troops and injured needy victims, that a cease fire would be called and accepted.

So much for the intent of Condi and this administration.
