Job memo cites effort to oust Democrats
Field worker's report sent to Fletcher, prosecutors say
By Tom Loftus
tloftus@courier-journal.com
The Courier-Journal

FRANKFORT, Ky. — A field representative for Gov. Ernie Fletcher said in a
memo to him in May 2004 that the replacement of Democrats in state civil service
jobs was progressing, according to documents filed by prosecutors yesterday.
"Constituents are ready to fill vacant merit positions and replace Democrats
in both merit and non-merit positions," according to the report to Fletcher
that Attorney General Greg Stumbo filed yesterday in Franklin District Court.

2. How long before we see THIS ad?
Attention ALL Republicans!

If you are not now, and have never been ...

(a) indicted
(b) convicted of a crime
(c) on-the-take
(d) the author or recipient of a memo, letter, fax or email containing evidence of your participation in corruption of any kind

... PLEASE contact party headquarters immediately. You MAY be the only person we have left to run in 2008.

As always, intelligence and common sense are preferred, but not essential.

No reasonable offers refused.

Didn't the very last Democrat in BushCo's admin just resign recently? Democrats need not apply.

12. I am SOOOO glad I told Ferris Wharton (in Delaware) that
no matter how much experience he had, I wouldn't vote for him because he's republican. I told him the Republicans are ruining the country. He instisted it was only at the Federal level, and the state needed his experience. Yeah, right! He's running against Biden's son for AG.

7. I suspect we are seeing this all across the country.
It's a full take over of the entire system. It will take time. At least that's the NeroCons goal.

8. This is just despicable.
And believe me, the public is getting bilked when these people take civil servant jobs and are more intent on following the party line, than taking care of the public good.

Yo, ACLU, where are you?

9. And there is no more "civil rights" or "equal rights" avenues to appeal to
because the Bush administration and the Republicans in Congress have seen to it that these legal support avenues were crushed.

Clinton and the DNC did nothing for years to counter this or even to sound the alarm.

He had to do that because Gov Ernie gave blanket amnesty to his staff for past and future crimes.
