2. It wasn't the passengers who were avoiding the BP
Edited on Mon Aug-07-06 04:47 PM by slackmaster
It was the driver of the SUV.

"The large sport utility vehicle carrying up to 22 people swerved to avoid a spike strip put out by Border Patrol agents, Sheriff’s Maj. Leon Wilmot said."

Oh, I stand corrected. The SUV was piloting itself.

Do US colleges and universities still have a basic English composition requirement?

EDIT at 2:47 PM Pacific time:

Looks like the editor read my post. Text has been updated to read:

The single-vehicle accident occurred on a road about a mile west of U.S. 95 when the driver of a large SUV carrying up to 22 people attempted to make a U-turn with Border Patrol agents in pursuit and the vehicle rolled over when he lost control, a Border Patrol spokesman said.

12. They come here to do the work that americans won't do
Dianne Feinstein contacted every welfare office in California and asked them to advertise agricultural labor guess what no one called back, this is proves without ANY doubts that they do the work most if not all americans refuse to do.

Another thing you don't hear about the BP chasing Germans, Russians and other europeans crossing the border but you always hear about them harrassing and chasing hispanics trying to enter this country. RACISTS!

16. I wholehartedly *oppose* the Senate pro-illegal immigration bill.
I'm pretty sure that Feinstein supports it and she is definitely wrong on it.

you just stated there.

Dianne Feinstein contacted every welfare office in California and asked them to advertise agricultural labor guess what no one called back, this is proves without ANY doubts that they do the work most if not all americans refuse to do.

A BIG WHAT?
and there are BIG doubts,
I do not know how the California government handles the whole welfare/unemployment situation, but at least in Indiana and I am sure in a few other states as well those two offices are separate. People who come in for info regarding welfare are not going to know to ask about employment at the welfare office.

On the subject of doing work american's refuse to that is just pure BS, Americans would do agricultural labor for a Living Wage.

Another thing you don't hear about the BP chasing Germans, Russians and other europeans crossing the border but you always hear about them harrassing and chasing hispanics trying to enter this country.

The truth is if you don't hear about the BP chasing europeans crossing the board OFTEN it is because they are a smaller percentage of illegals crossing the board compared to hispanics, that's a fact. Let's say for every 1000 illegals that cross the board, 20 are non-hispanic. So it could be said for every 1000 stops by the BP 20 will involve non-hispanics, but this number actually changes when you involve multiple parties in a stop. A stop involving multiple parties has a greater change of being mexicans due to mexico's geographic location compared to europeans who would have a hard time staying in a group over a greater distance traveled, that's a fact. Now we hear about these stops of illegals where? On TV or in the newspapers, which both want the biggest story so they can get best advertisers to make money. So in any newspaper would you more likely see on the front page a story about a single murder or a story about a triple homicide, the triple of course it's more and it's a bigger story. So what would make a bigger story on illegals, a story about the BP catching a single illegal or a story about catching a dozen?

RACISTS!
The media as a whole are not racist, their all about money. Ever hear the saying no news is bad news, well they have learned by printing articles about such a touchy subject, racism will stir up controversy, which in turn causes increase tension between races causing more big news stories. It looks like from your reaction in Cap letters the media got the reaction they wanted out of you. I've yet to meet a born racist, so all the hate comes from somewhere, family, friends but a whole lot of it is generated by the news media for profit.

15. If they had had the wisdom to be Cubans, not only would they get in free
Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 01:21 AM by Judi Lynn
they would also get taxpayer-provided Section 8 housing, social security, medical treatment, food stamps, green card, work visa, financial assistance for education, and other prizes, AND the BP would, of course, NEVER CHASE THEM AROUND.

Pity.

17. How easy is it to change citizenship to Cuba?
Why don't these folks get citizenship to Cuba then from there become Americans? Or are folks already doing that?

18. Mexicans Would Be Welcome in Cuba
If Mexican migrants went to Cuba, they would stay them. Unfortunately, the Mexican media, which are even more fascistic and racist than their U.S. counterpart, have presented over the years, and especially lately, a distorted picture of life in Cuba which discourages marginalized Mexicans from seeking refuge there. Of course, they would be welcome with open arms. Instead, they come to this country, where they are exploited and regarded as pariahs.

19. Haitians have fled to Cuba, and have become the second largest group
Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 02:40 AM by Judi Lynn
with Creole being Cuba's second most often spoken language. I just looked it up to find out more, and wikipedia says there are 300,000 recent arrivals in Cuba, and there's even a Creole speaking radio station in Havana.
http://64.226.35.229/haiticuba.htm

I have read that they settled mostly around Holguin. I found a map which shows Holguin on the eastern end, across Cuba from Haiti.
