ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Maryland's lieutenant governor was treated at a hospital Tuesday night after the vehicle he was riding in collided with a car in an intersection, state police said.

The sport utility vehicle carrying Lt. Gov. Michael Steele was being driven by a state trooper. A preliminary accident investigation cited ''driver error'' by the trooper.

A second trooper was also in the SUV. Paramedics took Steele and the two troopers to a hospital, where they were treated and released. The car's driver was not hurt, troopers said.

The crash occurred in Hanover, near the Baltimore Washington International Airport, state police said.

5. I know...
it smells fishy! I don't trust anything these Rethugs say or do. If he was hurt, I wish him all the best. But if this is yet another political stunt (Steele is guilty of many), then all bets are off!
