Big problems with Big Dig haunt Bechtel
http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/08/13/BECHTEL.TMP

Engineering giant Bechtel Corp.'s supervision of the construction of Boston's Big Dig tunnel network has been star-crossed for years, plagued by mammoth cost overruns and charges of shoddy work.

Now, the death of a motorist killed by falling ceiling panels has created a full-fledged scandal, damaging the reputation of San Francisco's Bechtel and putting the company in legal jeopardy.

Privately held Bechtel led the joint venture that managed construction of the Big Dig, a maze of roadways beneath Boston's downtown and harbor. Ultimately, Bechtel's potential liability for the ceiling collapse could exceed the amount of money the company claims to have made off the project.

1. Good. The Bechtels are repuke scumbag pigs feeding at the pubic trough!
Bastards. Who fucking glues concrete panels of that weight? Some engineering. Plus the water leakage problems - I'm surprised this things hasn't imploded yet.

Bechtel should pay... big time.

6. Bechtel is a piece of shit enterprise.
They committed a number of disgraceful acts in Bolivia, which escalated into, and culminated with, the election of Evo Morales as President, earlier this year.

I hope all who cut corners and didn't do their jobs are all prosecuted and sued!

8. Bechtel need not worry
Bush and his fellow Robber Baron Republicans will quickly pass legislation that will limit Bechtel's liability.
