SD: GOP angry over upcoming Dean visit (crybabies hate the truth)
http://www.capjournal.com/main.asp?SectionID=2&SubSectionID=2&ArticleID=15728

PIERRE - The South Dakota Republican Party on Monday called on Representative Stephanie Herseth and the South Dakota Democrat Party to cancel their events on Wednesday with Democratic National Committee Chair Howard Dean, and to reject what the South Dakota Republican Party calls Dean's "outlandish and distasteful comments."

Dean will be in Rapid City on Wednesday for several fundraisers for the South Dakota Democrat Party.

"Mr. Dean

has repeatedly made wild and baseless statements on everything from
losing the war on terror to Republicans not making an honest living," said South Dakota Republican Party Executive Director Max Wetz.

"We don't accept his kind of intolerance and lack of respect in South Dakota, and we are disappointed that the South Dakota Democrat Party is using his disgusting rhetoric to raise money. South Dakota has a lot of honest, hardworking people who don't take kindly to Dean's brand of slash and burn politics. There are a lot of people who are offended when he says things like, Republicans are 'mean. They are not nice people.' or 'I hate Republicans and everything they stand for,'" said Wetz. "Those aren't South Dakota values and I'm disappointed that the South Dakota Democrat Party thinks it appropriate to bring that into our election process."

In response, a representative for Herseth's office contended that the Republican Party is merely skirting around the issue of Republican challenger Bruce Whalen's recent personal attacks on Herseth. Levsen said in response to the South Dakota Republican Party on Monday he was disappointed now response was forthcoming from the Whalen camp.

Give 'em hell, Howard! :yourock:

1. So they hate disgusting rhetoric. Do they protest Coulter's speeches?
Oh, right..."disgusting rhetoric" is only spoken by eeevil libruhls. When a "conservative" says it, it's simply telling the truth.

18. Hey, republicans may not realize it, but they are the spawn of Satan.
Everything they stand for, everything they do, leads to mass poverty, environmental filth and destruction, ignorance, disease, deception, corruption, perversion, greed, war, and death. They are the zombie brownshirts from hell, carrying out the devil's marching orders in order to inflict suffering and confusion on the rest of humanity.

This is simply what republicans do, and we can't seem to stop them from doing it.

Why would anyone be a republican unless they were a selfish, mean, rotten, ignorant and/or evil shithead?

Can anyone point out anything remotely decent, something that actually benefits humanity, that the republican party has done lately?

This is why I detest republicans, and everything they stand for.

Republicans really are mean, and they are not nice people.

Howard Dean was, IMO, being quite gracious and forgiving.

So South Dakota reTHUGs feel they have the right to tell South Dakota Democrats who they may and may not invite to Democratic functions.

Did I get that right?

Wow. Just... wow.

The naked arrogance and sheer audacity never fail to stun me.

26. A lot of people here don't get the Democrat/Democratic business.
In case anyone reading this doesn't know, the Republicans make a big deal out of referring to the DemocRAT Party as opposed to Democratic party. It's right up there with Freedom fries in my book and should be tossed right back at the Republicans as an example of an infantile tactic. I mean, it's like being followed around by that kid in second grade who called people booger face!

28. I had no idea the people in South Dakota were so well off.
Have they been hiding the fact they all have good jobs? Tell us about the universal health care. Any of your young people serving in Iraq? What am I missing? They're accusing Dean of being a whacko? The state with a coat hanger seal? (I've got to stop with the questions. I'm writing the way Rumsfeld talks.)

31. GOP Trying to run against Dean, Clinton and Kennedy
Throughout the US, GOP congressional candidates are trying to pretend that they are running against Howard Dean, Hillary Clinton and Edward Kennedy, as opposed to their actual opponent. I know Santorum has tried to use that strategy.

Doesn't surprise me that they don't know proper grammer. Hell, their president makes the same mistake with omitting the 'ic'.

"There's an interesting debate in the Democrat Party about how quick to pull out of Iraq."
-- For some reason, he has a hard time adding "ic" here. George W. Bush, White House, Jun. 14, 2006

Sounds like the South Dakota Republic Party needs a reality check. Either that or a swift kick in the $%#.

37. Howard Dean was in Fargo for the North Dakota Democrats' "Campaign Kickoff
On Saturday DNC National Chairman Howard Dean was in Fargo for the North Dakota Democrats' "Campaign Kickoff" picnic. Do you know who was conspiculously absent from the proceedings? The top two candidates on the North Dakota Demcorat ticket.
That's right, neither Kent Conrad nor Earl Pomeroy were at the event. Neither was Byron Dorgan, for that matter, though he isn't campaigning this year.

I wonder what that's all about?
