Bush's approval rating sags (CNN)
Edited on Sun Jul-20-03 05:27 PM by lightbulb
http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/07/20/bush.poll.ap/index.html

"Half in the poll, 50 percent, said it was likely they would support Bush's re-election, while almost that many, 46 percent, said it was unlikely."

<snip>

"But a majority of those polled, 66 percent, said Bush is very or somewhat likely to win the election regardless of how they cast their vote."

Looks like the average American has lost all faith the the electoral process.

3. Bush is on his way down
This means people are starting to dislike and distrust him even though his appearance of invincibility is still strong.

5. His Iraqi honeymoon is over.

Look at the overall CDD polling data at the link above. * is back to his pre 911 figures in every poll I have seen in the past week. Yes, Americans are feelings jaded and faded and discouraged and fear he will "steal" the election again, but the election is a LONG ways away.

Keep faith, and welcome to DU lighbulb! :hi:

6. Dupe... locking
Please continue discussion of the CNN/Time Poll in the original, earliest thread on the topic, which can be found here:

Lightbulb, it would be very helpful if you could post your direct link to the CNN Poll within the earlier thread. I don't think anyone's posted it there yet.

Thanks! :-)
