A Marine from Baltimore has been killed during combat in Iraq, the Pentagon said Friday.

Staff Sergeant Dwayne E. Williams, 28, died Thursday during combat operations in Al Anbar province, The Department of Defense said in a statement.

Williams was assigned to 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan.
