Forty percent (40%) of American adults approve of the way that President Bush is performing his job. Fifty-seven percent (57%) disapprove.

The President earns approval from 43% of men and 37% of women.

Despite the President's low ratings, Republicans may be able to retain control of the Senate following this year's elections. Rasmussen Reports data shows the Democrats' lead in the Generic Congressional Ballot shrinking from earlier peaks. Other firms have shown a similar trend since Ned Lamont defeated Joe Lieberman in the Connecticut Senate primary. Still, the survey includes data that both sides can spin as good news.

these bogus polls anymore. They make it appear as close to 50% as possible to make stealing the elections plausible. Raswmussen needs to be investigated.
