Bomb hits oil pipeline south of Baghdad; no casualties, more power problem
BAGHDAD, Iraq No casualties but more power problems for Iraqis today following an oil pipeline bombing south of Baghdad.

The bombed-out pipeline feeds an electricity plant that supplies power to a number of cities, including Karbala (KAHR'-bah-lah), Najaf (NAH'-jahf) and Hillah.

The chief power engineer in the province of Babil says electricity service will have to be cut back to two hours on and six hours off. They had been running a schedule of four hours on and four hours off. He says if it takes more than three days to fix the pipeline, service hours will drop further.
