Security Is Atop GOP's Agenda
what a joke

WASHINGTON — It's going to be "Security September" on Capitol Hill.

With GOP control of the House and Senate hanging in the balance in the November midterm elections, Republican leaders want to use the monthlong session that begins today when Congress reconvenes to press what has traditionally been their biggest advantage over Democrats: national security.

House Majority Leader John A. Boehner issued a statement last week emphasizing the theme Republicans plan to hammer. In fact, he reminded voters four times in one sentence.

"From homeland security to national security to border security, House Republicans will focus first and foremost on addressing the safety and security needs of the American people throughout the month of September," Boehner said.

1. Had they already made us secure...
they wouldn't be having to swear to get to it and get it done, would they? Because it would BE done?

Republican security is rapidly becoming just another oxymoron.

2. They made us secure by not getting bin Laden, by the mess in Iraq, by
turning most of the world against us, by doing nothing about port security, by not screening air cargo, by selling our ports to Al Qaeda sympathizers...how much more can they protect us?

5. Republicans must be procrastinators. They are always saying "we *will*
win Iraq right after the next elections". then, "Really, we will do it after these next elections, promise". Then " okay so we didn't get it done in 2002, or 2004 but we really will do it in 2006.

6. they never get anything done. we HAVE to make that one of our talking
points. they're full of empty promises. their ideas are half-baked, like going into Iraq with no exit strategy, and simply allowing a vision of perpetual war with infinite numbers of dead... it's completely ridiculous and we have to point out how they NEVER get anything done, and they NEVER make good on their promises, and EVERYTHING they do makes us LESS SECURE.

the only security the thugs care about is desperately keeping control of their seats, because they know the sh*t is going to hit the fan when the Democrats take over come this fall. they know there will be investigation after investigation, and people are GOING TO JAIL.
