Iraqi Government to Close Kurdish Offices

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - September 19, 2006 - The Iraqi government said Tuesday it will shut down all offices belonging to the Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK, around the country.

Government spokesman Ali Al-Dabagh said the decision was made during a Cabinet meeting because "Iraq wants good relations with Turkey and all neighboring countries, so the Iraqi government has
decided to close any office belonging to the PKK in Iraq."
