Israelis arrests alleged Canadian terrorist |
|
Israeli officials say a Canadian arrested in Israel has confessed to having terrorist ties but Canadian officials know nothing of the alleged confession, CBC-TV's The National reported today.
But a spokesman for Foreign Affairs has no knowledge of the confession.
Consular officials in the courtroom met with Akkal after the hearing, Doiron said, and had no information about a confession.
Where is Paul M now?

3. "taken into custody Nov. 1" - what the heck has been happening |
|
. . to him in the last month??
evin "if" he "made a confession" - how was this "confession achieved
somehow I do not suspect it was just gentle questioning.
From the article:
"Reynald Doiron said the defence and prosecution agreed at Thursday's hearing to extend the investigation for another 15 days without charges against Akkal."
/snip/
"without charges" ??
they have a "confession" but have not laid any charges ?
AND he's been in custody for over a month ?
Is Israel using the same "rules" the US has for Gitmo ?
something smells badly here.
