Poll: Corker and Ford about even Tennessee Senate race
Poll: Corker and Ford about even Tennessee Senate race

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A new poll shows Democratic congressman Harold Ford Jr. has gained ground in the U.S. Senate race, drawing about even with Republican Bob Corker.

Ford was favored by 43 percent in the survey of registered, likely voters, compared to 42 percent for Corker, according to poll results published Sunday.

The poll had a sampling error margin of plus or minus 4 percentage points so the margin is not statistically significant.

Mason-Dixon Polling & Research of Washington conducted the statewide survey of 625 likely voters Sept. 25-27 for The Commercial Appeal of Memphis, the Chattanooga Times Free Press and MSNBC.

2. It's the 14% undecided that I'm concerned about.
The breakdown in the local paper had Ford with 53% of the vote in West TN, 43% in Middle TN and 36% in East TN.

4. "Undecideds" will break against Republicans now. Foley-gate will be
the last straw, even in senate races. Furthermore, Foley-gate keeps a significant portion of the Christian Right voters away from the polls, in a tight race in Tennessee that will be crucial. Democratic wave coming.

It is still amazing to me that after all this Republican Administration with the Republican House and Senate have done that it takes a pervert to turn the voting tide.

Why haven't people seen that before this happened things have been FUBAR on the domestic and International front?

Am I missing something? other than the majority of American voters are uninformed or just don't care.Panem et circenses

6. It is because denial can get people past the "other stuff". Pedophilia
and enabling pedophilia is undeniable. There is no way for the Republicans to spin it. (Though Tony Snow was apparently trying anyway this morning - just shows how clueless the Snowman is and why he won't last long.)
