Cheney says US active in Pakistan

WASHINGTON: US Vice President Dick Cheney said that the United States was taking part in anti-terrorism operations in Pakistan, where more Al-Qaeda members have been caught or killed "probably than any place else."

"We're engaged really on a global basis. We're very active in Afghanistan. We've got continuing activities in Pakistan. We've captured and killed more Al-Qaeda in Pakistan probably than any place else," he said in a radio interview.

A senior US official quickly clarified that Cheney was not talking about unilateral US operations, stressing: "The vice president was talking about our work with the Pakistani government on continuing counter-terrorism operations."

"We do not operate independently there, and the vice president was referring to the coalition against terrorism," said the official, who requested anonymity.

3. Cheney is in love with the sound of his own voice.
He likes to pontificate. He believes he is just so profound! In his own words, he can go fuck himself.

4. I'll bet those activities are more the "pro terrorist" type. Those are
the activities Cheney is typically involved in. Selling nuke parts round the world, Dick?

5. What about the thousands of Jihadis
who are graduating from Pakistani madrassahs every month? They replace the few Jihadis the govt. catches as "Al Qaeda".

Cheney is playing with fire, and it is going to burn him bad. Unfortunately, it will burn this country too, not just Cheney.

...asia...and better for the long term security of the United States.

The US should be rebuilding Afghanistan as it originally said it would do with the dollars needed to make it happen, and support the secular nationalist parties of Balochistan and Pashtunkhwa in seceeding from the ethnic supremecists who control the Pakistani junta and are direct supporters through the ISI of Islamic based terrorism worldwide, including 9/11.
