Bush: In Iraq, Dems would fulfill bin-Laden's "highest aspirations"

LA PLUME, Pa. President Bush says the Iraq withdrawal that many Democrats back would fulfill "Osama bin-Laden's highest aspirations."

At a G-O-P fund-raiser in Pennsylvania, the president said Democrats are "all over the place" on Iraq. But he says they seem to agree -- "victory is not an option."

...

Many Democrats contend Iraq is a diversion from the war on terror. But Bush says Osama bin-Laden's own words make clear it's central to that war -- and that pulling out now would be "precisely what the terrorists want."

Bush also cited the case of pro-Iraq-war Senator Joseph Lieberman, who lost the Connecticut Democratic primary to an anti-war newcomer. Bush says Lieberman has, in effect, been "purged" from his own party -- eight years after being its vice-presidential nominee.

4. Well, when bin-Laden demanded US troops out of Saudi Arabia, Bush
removed them. When bin-Laden wanted Saddam gone so Iraq could move to another Shiite theocracy, Bush obliged. When bind-Laden wanted to rile up Muslims around the world, Bush invaded Iraq.

So who gives the 'terrorists' what they want?

aspiration." over-reacting to 9-11 is exactly what the terrorists wanted. they hate us for our freedoms, right? and bush signed those away for good a few days ago.

terrorists want revenge. terrorists want over-reaction. bush gave them the half they didn't already have.

12. Bush already did that
Bush got rid of bin Laden's biggest enemy in the region (Saddam Hussein), and he's threatening one of bin Laden's other enemies (Shiite Iran). Plus, he's been providing a lot of really potent recruiting propaganda. I don't see how bin Laden could possibly ask for more than he's already gotten from Bush.

Way to go, Bushie....

That was Bin Laden's greatest aspiration. Needless to say, Bush did that.

Diverting U.S. resources from Afghanistan was also one of Bin Laden's greatest aspirations. Needless to say, Bush did that.

21. Always spewing the opposite of fact
Bush's policies have been a victory for Al Qaeda in no uncertain terms.

Bin Laden demanded we leave Saudi Arabia. Done almost immediately upon 9/11.

Unite the Arab world, especially the moderate muslims, against America. Done.

Get the US to launch an unprovoked war of aggression on an Arab country, both to cement our reputation as imperialist zionists and to give them something to shoot at. Done. Americans are now easy for the average Persian Gulf resident to shoot at and much of the world now believes the Iraq war was in part for the benefit of Israel.

Get the Saudi royal family out in Saudi Arabia. Coming soon.

Get the US to spend itself to defeat like the Russians in Afghanistan. In progress.

Terrorize the US citizens. Bush has done so for his own benefit and has done so to the benefit of Bin Laden as well.

Destroy America. Bush and Al Qaeda have acted in concert to create conditions that led to laws that have destroyed habeas corpus, legalized torture, allowed indefinite detentions, warrantless searches and wiretaps, access to library records, and on and on.

Make the US unable to defend Israel militarily by provoking self-defeating policies in the Arab-Israeli conflict. In progress.

Expose the Americans hypocritical views on human rights and war, to tear at our reputation of moral superiority. Done (torture, rape, set ups, kangaroo courts, illegal detentions, fake evidence)

Mr. Bush, exactly what aspirations could the Dems grant that you have not already granted?

Mr. Bush, you are a coward and complicit in every way with terrorists destroying America.

Sadly, people still won't do anything against "it" (stolen elections).

GWB gave ObL everything ObL wanted by invading Iraq illegally.
GWB gave ObL everything ObL wanted by destroying freedoms here.
GWB gave ObL everything ObL wanted by destroying the US leadership.

28. Wrongo, Mr. President.
It's not that victory isn't an option; it was never a possibility. Some people realized it in 2002, others realized it after March 2003, even more have come to realize it in the years since the invasion. Every day you delude yourself and your followers that you will "win" is a day that will see the deaths of our soldiers and Iraqi innocents.

...is reaching a crescendo. Their 2001 (energy) plan to turn Iraq into a colonial subject of the Anglo-American oil and banking cartel is on the rocks.

Bush's Petro-Cartel Almost Has Iraq's Oil

Even as Iraq verges on splintering into a sectarian civil war, four big oil companies are on the verge of locking up its massive, profitable reserves, known to everyone in the petroleum industry as "the prize."

let me guess..terrorists love their enemies, when slapped they turn the other cheek, they believe that defeat is the only option, they oppose policing our bedrooms and religion, they believe a better President could of stopped the attack on 9/11, they believe in healthcare for everyone, they believe in getting something back for their tax dollars, and they equate abortion with murder...whoops!!

never mind that Bush won votes in 2000 by claiming Gore had no exit strategy for Bosnia, only a terrorist supports an exit strategy for Iraq

Edited on Thu Oct-19-06 05:40 PM by Malva Zebrina
Bin Laden escape. Sooner or later and now is the time that these dimwits will wonder just why he has not pursued this terrible leader who killed three thousand of our people on 911.

Few can buy the "Bin Laden threat" any more--Bush is simply seen as a desperate man,if you can call him a man, revving up a threat that he let happen by his negligence and his lack of pursuit

It won't work, Bush. It doesn't work any longer Bush because it is YOUR fault that Bin Laden is still around. And you, in your dimwitted obedience to "sell" and propagandist techniques cannot even see how stupid and futile this looks to even the most uninformed of Americans.

Man--you let him get away--and now you continually bring up his presence as a "threat" to a country that you are failing to protect? It is really quite revealing of your incapacity to do anything to protect Americans. It really is quite revealing of your inability and your shallow thinking and few will buy it.

But keep it up--you will go lower and lower in the polls and your dictatorial, authoritarian, criminal, regime will sink to the depths of infamy. All the history written of you and your regime will point out how fascist and how criminal were your actions. You will be seen as the worst president ever in the history of the United States. All you can fill your library with is the military costumes you wore as you lied to your troops and to the American people. All you can fill it with are shallow platitudes--you have nothing else with which to fill it's halls.

In which case,as you contemplate your complete and utter failure and your crimes against the American people as well as in Iraq, you can then retire to Paraguay on your newly developed "ranch" and hide out, as the coward you are, so as not to be prosecuted for your lies and for your treasons against your own people. And you will leave your mess to the next guy--
