Ricketts questions Nelson's ties to company

WORLD-HERALD BUREAU
WASHINGTON - Republican Senate candidate Pete Ricketts has criticized U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., for possibly violating ethics rules over Nelson's ties to a Nebraska company.
A Nelson campaign spokeswoman dismissed the allegations. "These accusations aren't founded in fact and they know it," said Marcia Cady.
It was the second time this week that Ricketts criticized Nelson for his relationship with Behlen Manufacturing Co. of Columbus. Nelson is a member of the firm's advisory board, an unpaid position, and a former board of directors member.
Ricketts and Nelson face off in the Nov. 7 election.
