Iraqis better off under Saddam, says former weapons inspector

The war in Iraq is a "pure failure" that has left Iraqis in a worse state than when they lived under Saddam Hussein, former United Nations chief weapons inspector Hans Blix said in comments published Wednesday.

"Iraq is a pure failure," Blix was quoted as saying in the Danish newspaper Politiken.

"If the Americans pull out, there is a risk that they will leave a country in civil war. At the same time it doesn't seem that the United States can help to stabilize the situation by staying there."

...

"Saddam would still have been sitting in office. OK, that is negative and it would not have been joyful for the Iraqi people. But what we have gotten is undoubtedly worse," he was quoted as saying.

"If the Americans pull out, there is a risk that they will leave a country in civil war. At the same time it doesn't seem that the United States can help to stabilize the situation by staying there."

Well done Bush!

3. This statement is the TRUTH, and everyone, deep down, knows
it. People in this country are not allowed to say it, because we are no longer free, but everyone knows that the Iraqis were much better off before the invasion than since...

4. Blix got steamrolled by Colin Powell. But the truth will out in the end.
Blix, El Baradei, Ritter, Wilson, Kelley ... many tried to set things right. They didn't fail ... the media did.

5. better, worse, or no different, the bottom line is that . . .
the U.S. had absolutely no right to remove him from power . . . none . . . the invasion and the ongoing occupation are thoroughly illegal under international laws and treaties to which we are signatories (which makes them U.S. law as well) . . .

when will some international body call BushCo on their crimes and demand justice for the people of Iraq? . . . (and the people of the United States, for that matter) . . .

will someone -- the U.N., the U.S. Congress, someone -- act to prevent a similar attack on yet another sovereign nation? . . . there seems to be one brewing . . .

7. The UN has already declared bush's invasion "illegal".
bush has broken EXACTLY the same laws that Hitler broke & German leaders were tried at Nuremburg for.

EXACTLY the same laws; "THE SUPREME CRIME".

But of course the US won't be sanctioned for it; even if the US didn't use its own veto power, Israel would use theirs.

American Hypocrisy; one of the major reasons they hate us.
