Santorum Ad Shows Casey's Face Next To Mushroom Cloud

Sen. Rick Santorum has released a television ad that shows a photo of Democratic challenger Bob Casey's face next to a mushroom cloud. It accuses him of supporting policies that hurt national security.

The ad said North Korea and Iran are close to having nuclear missiles that could reach the United States. It said Casey opposes bunker-busting bombs and deploying a missile defense system.

The Casey campaign said that is not true.

The Santorum campaign said it has purchased $700,000 worth of ad time. But the Casey campaign accused his opponent of making a small "phantom" buy to get publicity.

Looks like a desperation buy. It was reported in Pittsburgh Post Gazette that Santorum's ads were on hiatus.

And the suggestion was Goldwater would start a war and use nuclear weapons. Little Ricky is playing the terror card and suggesting that Casey will prevent us from using nuclear bunker busters against Iran and that Casey would leave us vulnerable to nuclear weapons from terrorists or other countries.

I don't see the correlation. Kinda like when the Repubs trotted out Gary Stubbs on the Foley scandal.
