Bush: Hold Me Accountable for Outcome in Iraq

<snip>

But Mr. Bush repeatedly refused to speak about what he called hypotheticals -- such as when U.S. troops may leave the country. But he did touch on the issue.

"Americans have no intention of taking sides in a sectarian struggle or standing in the crossfire between rival factions," the president said.

After expressing his confidence in the Iraqi government and in his own Cabinet, President Bush was asked about accountability in Iraq -- and who would be held responsible if the war plan fails.

"It's what the 2004 campaign was about," President Bush said. "If people want to -- if people are unhappy about it, look right to the president."

A drawing of the chimp and his rubber stamp toy being taken away. Similar to how a child is disciplined when he/she acts up.

9. Murdering leaders are never held accountable- look at Idi Amin
he lived out his days in a nice warm bed in exile. It's some kind of human flaw that if an individual murders five people we execute him, but if a leader murders thousands or millions of people he gets a pass.

13. Its a question of calibre
What calibre of weapon should be used by bush's firing squad, after his trial for treason.
Some people love the 22, and a magazine of 20 bullets, to fill in any gaps or missed areas.
With a firing squad of 7 shooters, it puts a lot of lead on target, enough with a small smidgeon
of stopping power.

But its a question of calibre, as the crimes are not ordinary. Here, some would prefer to use
thermonuclear weapons, and not just fission weapons, however another school considers the impact
of the massive artillery barrage. Pray tell, what is that? you might ask. (As did your correspondent!)
and the argument, as its explained, is that a 220mm howitzer weapon, when deployed in a semicircle
at 20 miles, can place as many shells in a square meter, as a meteor shower. He assured the UN
torture commission, that the impact is enough for humane disposal of a war criminal.

But then, there are those who prefer a 50 calibre disposal. These include Army sniper units who
have volunteered by the hundreds for the possibility, bradley fighting vehicles and even warhog
and Apache units have signed up. So what seems a minor issue on the civilian side has worked the
Army in to quite a tizzy. Should they use a 220 mm execution chamber for the republican
leadership for aggressive war crimes, or just 50 calibre bullets from army units.

There is a third school, that believes in 600mm bullets fired at 50 mile distance. Such a
range allows a concentration of repeat firepower in case an execution is not successful.

Of course there are those who believe in just quartering them with barbed wire and a tractor,
but this minority is generally relegated to the racist south.

;-)

14. I trust this was a joke.
First of all, I have a narrow view of when the death penalty should be used. Second, YOU referenced the "racist" South. I'm sick and fucking tired of hearing that we in the South are a bunch of ignorant, racist, rednecks. Case in point? Who kicked up the biggest fuss on busing? Let me help you out here. It was BOSTON.

18. not the whole south
just the 'racist' south. If you're not a racist, then no offense was delivered, yes?

I've seen the ugliest racism of my life in the American south. The evidence is
there to support some hefty conclusions, that i felt the post generally avoided.

Its not a death pentalty, when you apply the bush test of deniablility. No single gunner
can say they were the provider of the bushian end, and faust can sleep soundly in his grave.

I apolgize for uniquely calling it the south, but let's say that there is a 'southern man'
demographic, sadly with that word 'south' embedded in it, that is apprpirate at times,
and the demographic is spread in the purple population of the not blue or red reality,
can there be a way to tag the stereotype without enflaming the concern you mention.

I too have seen terrible racism all up and down, across the nation, with the worst
in texas, (action), but talk racism all over.

:toast: no insults intended to yourself, or your kin, just some assholes out there
who hide amongst good people.

24. "Well, we had an accountability moment, and that's called the 2004 election"
That's what he told the Washington Post on January 16, 2005, shortly before his second coronation, when he was asked why no one in his administration was fired for the failures in Iraq.
