Bomb blast kills 14 Afghan civilians: official
KANDAHAR (Reuters) - An explosion in the southern Afghan province of Uruzgan killed at least 14 civilians on Friday, a spokesman for the governor said.

It was not immediately clear if the blast in the provincial capital, Tirankot, was suicide attack or remote controlled bomb, nor what the target was, Qayoom Qayoomi said by telephone.

1. Is it "a culture of life" or "freedom on the march"

2. Afghanistan is looking more and more like iraq all the time
Dems should be hammering the point that before the iraq fiasco their weren't ied's and suicide bombings in afghanistan.

Iraq wasn't the hotbed for terrorism before we went in there but it has been a breeding ground the last few years.

That is what I don't get when some dems say it isn't part of the war on terrorism. I disagree with the so called war on terrorism.

Dems should be bashing bush that because of iraq jihadists used it as a training ground to bring suicide attacks to afghanistan.

Guardian has had stories of taliban commanders going to iraq and learning the trade. It has had stories of jihadists learning the trade in iraq and going to pakistan and teaching ied training and plastic explosives training.

Before Iraq the taliban were using weapons from the 1800's. The taliban are now copying a lot of the techniques of the iraqis. Charged shaped explosives now in afghanistan are directly from iraq fiasco. The suicide bombers are arabs not afghanis. Taliban are now using tapes of bombings copying iraq groups. They are now using the internet like the iraq groups. They are attacking police stations like the iraq groups. It is so similiar to iraq it is scary.

We now have two iraqs. I wish someone would ask laura how she feels that bush put her schools in afghanistan in more danger because his iraq fiasco brought the suicide bombing hell to afghanistan.

Before iraq there were no suicide bombings in afghanistan. This was an unheard of practice in afghanistan.

This year there has already been 81 attacks and the taliban have hundreds more lined up. The iraq fiasco was the call out to the jihadists and they went to iraq and now they are bringing the suicide hellish tactic to afghanistan.

Dems should be running ads on this. Iraq is a part of the war on terrorism. It is a breeding ground that has brought the suicide attack concept to afghanistan.

When dems say iraq is not part of the war on terrorism I don't know if they are saying that because it will make us leave iraq sooner.

Instead we should get out but also point out that because of iraq afghanistan has turned into hell. There has been a lot of reporting on this but it hasn't been a political issue.

I wish top dems would get an NIE on iraq's affect for afghanistan. Clearly because of iraq afghanistan now has the suicide horror tactic.
