Judge 'orders arrest of Pinochet'

A judge has ordered the arrest of Chile's former military leader, Augusto Pinochet,
over crimes committed at a detention centre, sources say.

Judge Alejandro Solis requested the arrest of Gen Pinochet, 90, for 36 cases of kidnap,
one of homicide and for 23 cases of torture.

The crimes allegedly took place in the years following his 1973 coup.

The Villa Grimaldi centre was run by his secret police, where thousands were tortured
between 1974 and 1977.

How many times have we been through this song and dance with that old fucker? He just drags it all out in appeals making bullshit claims that he is "unfit to stand trial".

I don't mean to say that we shouldn't pursue justice against this pile of shit, but I'm not very encouraged.

6. When will they arrest Kissinger ?

That's what I want to know. It's nice that they're getting Pinochet, but Kissinger needs to pay for his crimes, too.

8. Yes, and Kissinger is complicit with Pinochet's crimes.
They both should be turned over to the Hague for a double trial.

7. They just want to get their hands on the 160 million in gold that's in
some foreign bank. Read about it here the other day.

Maybe they need to waterboard him for a secret code to release the cash (ala Mission Impossible).

Oh, by Mission Impossible I mean Jim Graves, Martin Landau, Barbara Bain, etc. I don't go see Tom Cruise movies.

9. Chile has plenty of unmined gold in it's mountains, not to mention
many other valuable ores. I don't think they need his gold. They do need the truth though and the only way to get it is to put him on trial and wring it out of him.

10. I guess I should have used the sarcasm button. (Although, the gold
in the mountains as opposed to the gold already mined and in that bank are two different things. And no one, no one will sneeze at 160 million dollars.)

Did not the references to Mission Impossible tell you anything?

11. Yes, it did, but I always try to correct even small untruths about
Chile because there is a lot of misinformation floating around and your sarcasm could become someone else's unsubstantiated facts.
