Poll Shows Menendez Ahead, But Democrat Splits Newspaper Endorsements With Challenger Kean

TRENTON, N.J., Oct. 29, 2006

(AP) U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez and Republican challenger Tom Kean Jr. have each secured four newspapers endorsements in their race to represent New Jeresy in the U.S. Senate, with just over a week left before election day.

Kean received three new endorsements on Sunday while Menendez got two.

However, Menendez showed a slight lead over Kean in a poll published Sunday in The Record of Bergen County. The poll said Menendez can thank his lead to the majority of New Jerseyans who want Democrats to regain control of Congress.

In the survey of 600 likely voters, Menendez leads Kean 48-42 percent, and the sampling error margin is plus or minus four percentage points. The poll was conducted Oct. 23-25.

300 in Morris county, Morris is repub, but we're still hittin them where they Live. In Tom Keans home leg district, DEM Linda Stender is in a dead heat vs Mike Ferguson i NJ7, & its looking like Linda will win. If TOm Kean cant win his home district, he certainly wont win NJ.
