Elko readies for Bush visit on Thursday (Nevada)
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 07:03 PM by NVMojo
You, my friends, are paying taxes for these stupid trips: Elko is a township of about 36,000. Cheney showed up there before the 04 election. These jerks think they will have 2,900 in this bastion of conservativeness when barely 200 turned out in Reno this past month for Bush. The GOP claims that Elko won Nevada for Bush in 2004, it was the papertrail-LESS Sequoias in Las Vegas that did.

They are stealing the election in Nevada ...Dean Heller bought the Sequoias in 03/04.

ELKO, Nev. (AP) - Local Republican leaders said they hope to attract a crowd of nearly 3,000 people for President Bush's visit to Elko on Thursday but they still aren't sure exactly when or where the rally will be held.

"We're hoping to turn out about 2,900 people," said Nancy Ernaut, vice chairman of the Elko County Republican Central Committee.

Ernaut said the location cannot be announced yet but she confirmed it will not be at the Elko convention center because early voting is under way there. She said people who receive tickets should bring a photo ID and a bottle of water, "because there will be a long line."

White House spokesman Peter Watkins said Monday details of the visit are still being planned.

Bush is scheduled to speak in Billings, Mont., Thursday morning and expected to arrive sometime Thursday afternoon in Elko, a rural town of about 18,000 about 300 miles east of Reno on U.S. Interstate 80.

1. This is setting the stage for some election fraud -
During this entire election cycle NO ONE has mentioned the fact the Dean Heller was Sec. Of State and responsible for the purchase of the Sequoia Touch Screen systems that will now count the votes in his razor tight contest with Jill Derby for the House seat for district 2 in Nevada being vacated by the loathsome Jim Gibbons (who has his own problems with his race for Governor). A 4th quarter last minute Bush or Cheney visit could be used to explain a quick increase of votes that don't quite match recent polling outcome. Something stunk in 2004 (Kerry was ahead until very late in the evening and then the miracle turnaround)and I remember Heller refusing to give an activist gal that was questioning the election access to materials.

3. thank you, you are exactly correct. when I saw this announcement
this weekend, I knew they were going to steal the vote again ...same stage, same machines, same corrupt bastards using rural Nevada. That is what they said in 04 and they will do it again.

2. Another small town, another photo op

I wonder if that's the only way to draw a crowd by now?

Can someone change the road signs and send him off to Eureka, maybe? LOL

5. W is so hated by Americans that he only shows
up in small republican pockets and protected military bases. He is reaping what he sowed.
