Early voting & absentee figures for Broward, Palm Beach & Dade counties

Elections Offices in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade County released these figures on Monday of early voting and absentee ballots that have been cast in Tuesday's elections. In the tri-county area, 12.7 percent of all registered voters have already voted:


Broward County

Early voting by party -- 45,638 Democrats and 18,735 Republicans & 13,414 other. TOTAL: 77,787.

Absentee ballots (thru Thursday, Nov. 2 only) 13, 584 Democrats, 13,746 Republicans & 3,128 other. TOTAL: 30,458

Countywide, 12.5 percent of all voters have voted with 8.4 percent by early voting, 4.1 percent by absentee. That includes 12.7 percent of the total registered Democrats in the county; 13.4 percent of the registered Republicans in Broward; and 7.7 percent of the third-party voters that had cast ballots by Monday.


Miami-Dade County

Early voting by party -- 32,094 Democrats, 23,547 Republicans & 10,538 other. TOTAL: 66,179....

7. It's easier for the repugs to steal absentee votes

One of their favorite tricks is to send operatives into the poor neighborhoods to 'help' people vote. They focus on elder, black people who are more likely to be illiterate. The nice man comes to your house and helps you vote, you sign the dotted line and you have no way to know that you've actually voted for someone else.
