Bush to take weeks to decide Iraq policy-official

ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE, Nov 30 (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush will take weeks rather than months to start making changes in Iraq policy after he receives high-level recommendations on the conduct of the war, his national security adviser said on Thursday.

Speaking after Bush held crisis talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in Jordan, Stephen Hadley, Bush's national security adviser, said: "There is a real sense of urgency but there is not a sense of panic."

..

Asked when Bush would start making decisions on Iraq policy after receiving the reports, Hadley told reporters aboard Air Force One enroute to Washington: "I think probably it's going to be weeks rather than months. It's going to be when the president is comfortable."

1. he has to make sure he understands what he's being told to decide
Cheney and Rove will need at least a few weeks to explain it to him.

2. Just like the Iraq war was going to take "weeks rather than months"
according to Rummy? I'll believe this only when I see him taking concrete action to bring our soldiers home!

5. In the meantime, Poppy's already decided...
has there ever been a more irrelevant President than the one we have now? Maybe when Woodrow Wilson was in a coma and Edith was making all the decisions, that's about all I can come up with.

8. How many weeks did it take him to initially "decide"?
I've read that he usually makes impulsive decisions. Perhaps "being comfortable" is not part of his make-up.

9. WTF is there to decide?
In the meantime, more troops die because of his lies.

10. He has to be comfortable first???
:wtf: Well, get that man a comfy chair and a nice hot cup of cocoa. Maybe a nice massage will help his comfort level.

Meanwhile the situation is Iraq is far from comfortable. All that noise and blood. Hard to relax.

11. The idea of George W. Bush pondering anything is a joke in and of itself.
All one has to do is to recall back to his great "deliberations" over stem-cell research down on his fake ranch in Crawford.
