UN investigates use of 'uranium weapons'
http://news.independent.co.uk/world/middle_east/article1940826.ece

The United Nations Environment Programme is investigating allegations, first published in The Independent, that Israel may have used uranium-based weapons during this summer's war in Lebanon. Twenty UN experts, working with Lebanese environmentalists, have spent two weeks assessing various samples. They are planning to report their findings in December.

Butros al-Harb, Unep's Middle East director, told a Lebanese radio interviewer at the weekend: "If uranium was used, we will find out and we will announce it. We cannot confirm anything now, but we will wait for results."

2. I....I....I'm totally flabbergasted
:wow: I don't even know what to say. If they did use uranium-based weapons (and these are different from depleted-uranium rounds HOW?), I hope to god they are found out.

6. it is the heavy Metal Toxicity of the Uranium.. the radioactivity is negligible.. but it is a toxic
metal.... the dust is everywhere.. in their clothes and skin. 2000 tons have been reported to have been dumped there by the Nuclear industry after they got payback for campaign contributions to Dump that shit rather than have to store it safely

7. We have been using depleted uranium in
our weapons for years. Over 10,000 veterans of the Gulf War have already died because of exposure to it. When is someone going to start investigating that? If we gave them bunker busters you can bet they will find uranium.

11. it mentioned DU at the end, enriched Uranium is way to expensive & worthless in the manner mentioned
Edited on Fri Dec-01-06 07:20 AM by sam sarrha
i am sure they meant DU, there might be DU in things like hellfire missiles or bunker buster bombs, but using enriched U is a waste of money and it has little effect as a conventional weapon and i dont think the Jews want the bad rap a dirty bomb would give.. got to be DU.. up to now we are the only country so Hideously monstrous to use DU as a weapon and we have allowed, thru some very big campaign contributions by the Nuclear industry to profitably dump their radioactive and horrifically toxic depleted uranium .. we have dumped 2000 tons of this crap in Iraq

google: depleted uranium extreme birth defects 'CAUTION' photos of birth defects we have caused and will continue to cause till the sun goes giant red dwarf and expands past the orbit of Jupiter
