NATO convoy bombed in south Afghanistan

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - A suicide car bomber killed or wounded 15 civilians in an attack on a NATO convoy in southern Afghanistan Thursday, officials said.

No NATO troops were hurt in the blast in Kandahar province, said Squadron Leader Jason Chalk, a spokesman for the alliance.

The civilians were killed or wounded near the blast site, said Razaq Khan, a police official at the scene. There were no immediate details on the number of dead and the number of wounded.
